O Blest Is Christ That Came

Extended anthem for SATB choir (with concluding treble descant) and organ; based on the Advent hymn “Prepare the Way, O Zion,” using the hymn text and the familiar tune for the final section. The performance link is to the première in Advent 2024 by the choir and children’s choir of Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Memphis, Tennessee, Scott Price, choirmaster, and Debbie Smith, organist. The permission of Dr. Price and his musicians is gratefully acknowledged.
